1. Vision 

To lead healthcare innovation and redefine the standards of healthcare through the convergence of people, data, and technology, enabling everyone to access better healthcare.

2. Background and Purpose 

As the digital healthcare industry continues to grow rapidly both domestically and globally, the need for patient-centered healthcare innovation based on advanced technologies—such as medical data analytics, artificial intelligence, large language models (LLMs), and digital health UI/UX—has become increasingly important. In addition, addressing complex healthcare challenges requires interdisciplinary research that goes beyond traditional academic boundaries, as well as active collaboration with global institutions.

In response to these needs, the Healthcare Digital Transformation Research Institute (HTRI) was established to serve as an educational and research hub dedicated to cultivating creative and interdisciplinary Digital Healthcare Scientists who can lead problem-solving in the digital health field. The institute also aims to conduct user-centered research that considers the diverse stakeholders involved in healthcare environments.

HTRI conducts medical data analytics and IT-based translational research grounded in advanced technologies and data science. Through collaboration with leading domestic and international research institutions, the institute seeks to contribute to innovation and advancement in the digital healthcare field.

A.  Medical Data Analytics and Predictive Research

  • Development of patient outcome prediction models and clinical decision support systems based on medical data analysis.

B. Digital Health Services and UX/UI Research

  • Research on patient-centered service design and UX/UI for digital transformation in healthcare institutions.

C. AI and LLM-based Healthcare Applications

  • Development of medical document processing technologies and digital health assistants using large language models.

D. Translational Research and Industry Collaboration Models

  • Implementation studies for real-world clinical application and development of digital health platforms.
