Scholarship Name

Details

Scholarships for international students of Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Medical departments

(STEM Scholarship)

- Candidates: Selected international students accepted into Natural Sciences, 

   Engineering or Medical departments who meet the qualifications and have 

   received a recommendation from an advising professors at SKKU.

※ It is required to contact prospective advising professor prior to application.

- Scholarship Amount: Up to 100% tuition waiver and an initial settlement fund

   of 600,000 KRW after arrival in Korea.

※ The initial settlement fund is provided only for those whose last attended 

    university is overseas.

※ From the 2nd semester: A recommendation from the advising professor is 

   required each semester for nomination (initial settlement fund is only awarded

   in the 1st semester)

※ Ph.D. students may receive scholarship for the research enrollment semester

  (amount will be determined by the department upon evaluation)

Merit-based Scholarship

(From 2nd semester)

- Qualification and Amount: international students admitted through the 

   International Student admissions track will be nominated based on the GPA 

   of the previous semester

※ Students receiving the STEM scholarship are ineligible.

‧ Average GPA of 4.5 in the previous semester: 50% tuition waiver

‧ Average GPA of 4.2~4.5 in the previous semester: 30% tuition waiver

‧ Average GPA of 3.8~4.2 in the previous semester: 20% tuition waiver

Graduate School-affiliated 
Scholarships

- Qualification: SKKU graduates admitted to the General Graduate Program 

   with outstanding academic records and research performance. 

   (details will be announced)

- Scholarship Amount: partial amount of the tuition fee (including the admission fee)
